FAQ
-
Fitness LevelThe best thing about yoga is ANYONE can practice. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi, the classes are designed for you to ‘take it at your own pace’. The instructor will always give easy or more difficult options to choose from, so you can customise your own yoga practice.
-
ClothingWear loose, comfortable clothing, something easy to stretch in. We take our shoes off during class so bring socks for winter. Have clean bare feet as we touch our feet for some postures.
-
FoodNo eating at least 1 hour before class. A full stomach can make you feel uncomfortable.
-
Listen To Your BodyNo forcing or pushing yourself into the stretches. Don’t work beyond your body’s limitations, this can cause unnecessary injury.
-
Remember To BreatheIn each of the poses, don’t forget your breath. The breath will enable the muscles to relax and will keep the mind focused.
-
RestTake a break between postures if needed. Use the resting time to reflect and absorb your experience of the yoga positions.
-
No ComparingWhen practicing yoga in a class, pretend that you are the only one in the room. Everyone is at different stages of their health and we all live different lifestyles so no comparing.
-
Consistency Is KeyIf you want to see and feel the results of yoga, practice as consistently as possible. Be disciplined when it comes to your yoga time and make it a priority in your lifestyle. Best to attend 1-3 times per week.
